Royal Mail : The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Christmas 2019

11 Mar

Well…today I received some unexpected Royal Mail as I had given up on getting any further replies from the holiday season.

After receiving the reply from Her Majesty the Queen in January, I was sure that was my last Christmas reply.

And then today this showed up.
The Greeting is one that is standard of royal replies….though I do find it odd there is no mention of Archie.

But when it comes to the photo that is on the front…

…while clean and elegant it is definitely not the normal royal reply card.

With Harry we have always gotten a photo reply card featuring some moment in his year that was significant to him. This continued after his marriage to Meghan.

This year I had given up hope of getting any reply from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at this point. Originally I was hoping for a printed copy of the photo used on their electronic card sent out to charities or at least a photo from the day when Archie and his parents met Bishop Desmond Tutu.

This one is elegant, but not much to write home about.

To be honest, I have to say that this is the first time I have been disappointed by Royal Mail.
