The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited a 111 call centre in Croydon to thank staff who are working during this Coronavirus Pandemic and are currently experiencing a five-fold increase in calls. The visit from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge comes as the United Kingdom has told those 70 and older that they need to isolate for the next few months. That means that the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, along with the 94-year-old Queen…and truthfully all but 5 of the working Royals, won’t be seen very much if at all for a while.
William and Catherine were trying very hard to adhere to the social distancing guidelines as they visited with and thanked workers, even though some people instinctively went to shake hands. The royals handled these moments with grace and humor. Let’s face it, we all need a laugh right now, and if that means laughing at adjusting to the new normal…so be it.
A quick look at the outfit that the Duchess chose for today:
The Duchess chose a trouser suit by Marks and Spencer brand Autograph.
